2021 Annual General Meeting reports and results

The Association’s 5th Annual General Meeting took place virtually on April 8, 2021.



Three motions were passed at the meeting:

1)  Motion to appoint BDO as the Association’s auditors for 2021.

2) Motion for the Association to comprehensively explore the level of capacity, interest and possibility of establishing a subject-matter expert team to provide a voice and demonstrate support for nurses working in long-term care.

3) Motion for the Association, in collaboration with Indigenous nurses, to establish a process to work with key stakeholders to gather information and promote the contributions that Indigenous nurses and nursing students make to the healthcare system.
  
The Honourable Heather Stefanson, Minister of Health, Seniors Care; Tim Guest, president, Canadian Nurses Association; and Chantal Léonard, CEO, Canadian Nurses Protective Society brought greetings at the meeting.

Lanette Siragusa, Provincial lead, health system integration, quality/chief nursing officer, Shared Health delivered the keynote speech.
