Frailty Assessment, Mitigation, and Prevention Educational Module

This presentation will provide an introduction to the Canadian Frailty Network's (CFN) frailty education module and AVOID frailty campaign. It will provide an overview of what frailty is, methods to assess it, and ways to mitigate or prevent frailty.

Dr. John Muscedere
Scientific Director of the Canadian Frailty Network

Dr. John Muscedere is the CEO and Scientific Director of the Canadian Frailty Network. He is an intensivist at Kingston General Hospital (KGH), and a Professor of Critical Care Medicine in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Queen’s University. He is also the Research Director of the Critical Care Program at Queen’s and KGH. As an intensivist, he has first-hand knowledge of caring for critically ill frail older adults both in academic and community settings. Dr. Muscedere has a keen interest in the design of healthcare systems to optimize patient-centred outcomes.
