Description:

Have you ever wondered where debt comes from?

The answer is easy. Debt comes from credit. Debt is in all our lives to one degree or another and treats all of us as equals; debt doesn't care if you are a lawyer or a labourer, a dentist or a dockhand. 40% of Canadians find their debt level to be overwhelming. 44% of Canadians say that f their pay was delayed just one week they couldn't pay their bills.

Does any of this sound familiar? If it does, don't be surprised - you are not alone. Nearly 50% of the country reports feeling financially stressed in one form or another.

Anecdotally, nursing is the profession that comes to us the most for assistance. Most of these challenges come from the simple fact that many of us don't fully understand credit, credit bureaus, credit scores and credit reports.

Did you know that it is possible to make your payments on time all the time, never be late, never go over your credit limit and STILL have you credit score go down? Do you know that in some circumstances it can actually be dangerous to prepay your credit cards? Because we don't fully understand these things it is easy for credit to get the better of us.
