John Jackson
RPN, MScPN
John Jackson is a registered psychiatric nurse, holds a master of psychiatric nursing degree and is a PhD in Nursing student at the University of Manitoba. His research interest is professional regulation. He is the President & CEO of LINKS Institute, a private career college in Manitoba which trains students to work in unregulated social service roles. John’s career has included clinical and senior leadership positions in addictions treatment settings and non-profit organizations. John has a keen interest in how entrepreneurialism can identify and meet unmet needs in the health and social services sector.
John has an extensive history of volunteerism related to the profession of psychiatric nursing. He has been an item writer for the Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Canada competency exam 4 times and served on a local suicide prevention implementation network committee for 4 years. John is currently a volunteer member of the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Canada discipline committee.
