Pamela (Pam) Scheveck

RN, M.Ed.

Pamela (Pam) Scheveck, RN M.Ed. is a Registered Nurse, educator, and program coordinator at the University College of the North (UCN), where she has the privilege of supporting students as they prepare for meaningful and rewarding careers in health care. Her nursing journey began as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and later as a Registered Nurse, gaining valuable experience in community, acute, and long-term care settings.

 

For nearly two decades, she has taught in practical nursing and health-related programs, with a strong commitment to helping learners build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to achieve their goals. She holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Manitoba, and her professional focus includes curriculum development, competency-based education, and creating inclusive, ethical, and evidence-informed learning environments.

 

At UCN, she co-chairs the Research, Education and Learning Committee and serves on the Learning Council. Nationally, she contributes to the advancement of nursing practice and public policy through work with the Community Health Nurses of Canada Research and Policy Committee.

 

Pam believes in the power of education to inspire leadership and growth within the nursing profession. As an ARNM board member, she is committed to fostering inclusive and respectful spaces where every nurse feels valued, heard, and supported. She is looking forward to championing initiatives that celebrate nursing excellence and strengthen the profession’s recognition as respected, empowered leaders in health care.
