Pamela Scheveck

RN, M.Ed.

I am a Registered Nurse, educator, and program coordinator at the University College of the North (UCN), where I have the privilege of supporting students as they prepare for meaningful and rewarding careers in healthcare. My nursing journey began as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and later as a Registered Nurse, I gained valuable experience in community, acute, and long-term care settings.

For nearly two decades, I have taught in practical nursing and health-related programs, with a strong commitment to helping learners build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to achieve their goals. I hold a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Manitoba, and my professional focus includes curriculum development, competency-based education, and creating inclusive, ethical, and evidence-informed learning environments.

At UCN, I co-chair the Research, Education and Learning Committee and serve on the Learning Council. Nationally, I contribute to the advancement of nursing practice and public policy through my work with the Community Health Nurses of Canada Research and Policy Committee.

I believe in the power of education to inspire leadership and growth within the nursing profession. As an ARNM board member, I am committed to fostering inclusive and respectful spaces where every nurse feels valued, heard, and supported. I look forward to championing initiatives that celebrate nursing excellence and strengthen our profession’s recognition as respected, empowered leaders in healthcare.
