Nursing scholarships in Manitoba were previously administered by FRNM. ARNM now administers all scholarship applications, selection processes, and awards, continuing this long-standing commitment to supporting nurses’ professional education.
How to Apply
- Please refer to each scholarship policy for selection criteria and supporting documentation.
- Applications are submitted directly to ARNM: scholarships@arnm.ca
- Hard copy applications are not accepted.

Application Window
Applications are accepted between February 1 and March 31.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be a current ARNM member
- Hold a practicing license with CRNM, CLPNM, or CRPNM
Available Scholarships
- LPN or RN pursuing Baccalaureate Nursing (BN) education
- All Certification Courses – including recertification
- Named Scholarships:
- Kay De Jong – Northern Nursing
- Dennis Norbury – Obstetrics or Palliative Nursing
- Manitoba Gerontological Nurses Association (MGNA)
- Graduate Students – not attending University of Manitoba
- Graduate Students attending the University of Manitoba apply directly to the UM Faculty of Graduate Studies

Some scholarships and bursaries are offered through Manitoba educational institutions and supported by FRNM funding. Applicants for these awards apply directly to the institution of study.
