Shellie Anderson

Shellie Anderson is a passionate and dedicated nursing leader with more than 40 years of experience working across Manitoba’s health-care system. Throughout her career, she’s been known for her collaborative leadership style, focus on patient and family-centered care, and her commitment to supporting nurses at every stage of their professional journey.
Shellie has held a variety of leadership roles, including Director of Patient Services at Health Sciences Centre and Patient Care Manager in the Winnipeg and Northern Health Regions. Today, she serves as the Facility Patient Care Manager at Victoria General Hospital, where she helps ensure quality care, smooth patient flow, and strong support for staff during off-hours.
Beyond her clinical and operational roles, Shellie has always been deeply involved in the broader nursing community. She’s served on numerous committees, taught and mentored nurses, and contributed to research, publications, and leadership development initiatives. Her long-standing commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth is reflected in her active participation on the ARNM Board and Professional Development Committee, as well as her past leadership with the Foundation of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
Shellie holds a Master of Nursing with a focus on administration, and over the years, her contributions have been recognized by her nursing community peers. Whether she’s leading a team, mentoring a colleague, or shaping policy, Shellie’s goal is always the same: to make a positive impact on nursing practice and the people it serves.
