ARNM at CNA Conference 2026
August 21, 2026
Monday, September 21 is ARNM’s Day!
Join ARNM for a full day of learning, connection and conversation at CNA Conference 2026 in Winnipeg.
We’re bringing Manitoba nurses together for an interactive day focused on communication, conflict, collaboration and professional relationships — with two engaging sessions, lunch, opportunities to connect with other participants, and an afternoon of networking and social time.

Building Stronger Connections in the Nursing Profession
Presenters: Kahla Evans and Kelly Hallock
Strong communication, healthy conflict management and meaningful professional relationships are essential to a strong nursing workforce.
Throughout the day, participants will explore practical tools and strategies they can take back to their everyday practice to support communication, collaboration, connection and healthier workplaces.
Part 1: Communicating with Confidence and Clarity
10:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Presenter: Kahla Evans
Start the day by exploring practical strategies for organizing your thoughts, communicating clearly and confidently, and navigating communication challenges — including those that arise when working under pressure.
The session will include opportunities for participant engagement, discussion and reflection, helping you put practical communication strategies into action.
Lunch 12:30–1:30 p.m.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided for participants.
Part 2: Conflict Competence and the Power of Partnership
1:30–3:30 p.m.
Presenter: Kelly Hallock
The afternoon session will explore conflict within health-care settings, strategies for navigating difficult conversations, and the importance of strong professional partnerships and networks in creating healthier, more collaborative workplaces.
Participants will have opportunities for discussion, engagement and reflection throughout the session.
Networking & Social Time 3:30–5:00 p.m.
The learning doesn’t have to end at 3:30!
Stick around for refreshments, networking and social time with fellow nurses. It’s a great opportunity to continue the conversation, make connections and spend some time with colleagues from Manitoba and across Canada.
