ARNM's 2025 Federal Budget Submission: Advocating for Better Health Systems

The Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) has officially submitted its 2025 federal pre-budget recommendations to the Standing Committee on Finance and the Department of Finance. In this submission, we urge the federal government to improve accountability and equity in health care through two key actions:

  1. Create a Standardized Reporting Framework for provinces receiving Canada Health Transfers to increase transparency, consistency, and the ability to track meaningful health outcomes across Canada.
  2. Improve Labour Mobility for Nurses and Healthcare Practitioners by harmonizing regulatory requirements across provinces and addressing barriers faced by federally employed healthcare workers.

These targeted recommendations support smarter investments in health care, reduce service gaps, and enable a more responsive, equitable, and sustainable system.
